Rice Tea!

Everything here revolves around rice. Yes, nothing but rice!

They turned rice into different sort of products and they even have yam flavoured rice! :O
You can even DIY your own rice crackers at the Farmer's Association here :)

You can even shape them into your own favourite shape! :)
I shaped mine into Mickey's head :P

...but the best thing I've tasted to far is definitely the roasted rice tea! :D
Without doubt, one of the best tea I've tasted here in Taiwan!

The rice grains in the tea pot can be eaten after drinking the tea!
All we need is some pepper and salt ;)

Chi-Shang

Here I am, sitting at the corner of the Hakka Village in Chi-Shang, the rice town of Taiwan.

It was a whole new place for me. Paddy fields everywhere!
Turn to your right, you see paddy fields, turn to your left, you see another huge land of paddy fields.
It has more paddy fields than roads, more paddy fields than buildings.

Was having a lil tough time adapting to the laid-back lifestyle here at the beginning..
.. they have nowhere to go at night besides 7-11! Lol.
But.. after almost a week here, I'm starting to fall in love with this place.
People here are so so so nice! No matter where you're from, they'll give you the warmest smile ever :)
And even if they know you can hardly understand what they're talking, they never, never give up on communicating :)

 Rainbow after the rain! :)

Excitement!

Here I am, sitting in LCCT's Starbucks, waiting for my next flight..

I'm flying off to Taiwan in a few hours for two months! :D

Can't wait to experience that beautiful country! :)
So blessed to have this opportunity to go across the sea to experience a whole new different culture :)
Was a lil worried bout going to a country that is full with Chinese characters everywhere! Give me Chinese characters to read, I'll give you a blank stare in return :\ hahah!
Maybe, its time for me to go back to my roots, learn Chinese! :P

Daddy In Heaven

..and I thank God for everything I have in my life. God works wonders, He does miracles.
I am so blessed that He has always been there for me, through good and bad times.
It is always tough to be the first generation in the family. People around you don't understand your beliefs, your stand, your relationship with God. Sometimes, they even utter words that my shake your faith.

Thankfully, I have a group of friends around me that makes me realize how important it is to put God first in our life :)
